itinerary:- From the bush to the beach
Day 1: Arrival on Socotra
Day 2: Wadi
Deanghan - Kishan – Dimalah :Trek with
camel to the top of Socotra
early
in the morning we go to the foot of Hajjher mountain with local
cameleers, using camels to carry our equipment for camping the scenery is very
good we trek along the mountain you will have the lunch under a big tree,after
lunch keep on trekking ntil you arrive to Dimalah the top of the
mountain a lot of different variety of plants and birds, and high cliffs in
front of you from this top you will see the northern part of Socotra, Overnight camp in Dimalah.
Day 3; Dimalah – Dihazhaz – Baah village :Paradise
of unique wildlife
After the breakfast enjoy the morning trekking
down to the wadi of Dihazhaz which is a small paradise where you will enjoy the beautiful scenery of the unique
flora, unique fauna & some unique bird spices of Socotra, you will have the
lunch among trees and streams of water, and you watch the camels, you will pass
throughout some villages of Darho Dinner and overnight near the village of Darho
Day 4 : Darho village – Rokeb Farmhin - Diksam : The mystical Dragons' blood forest
when you wake up you will wash your face from a traditional
well inside a garden of palm trees, this morning you will meet the car and you
see off the cameleers, after the
breakfast you keep on trekking, this time you trek to Farmhin
Mountain the largest forest of Dragons' bloo trees on Socotra. You enjoy
the nice scenery, and then go down to Darhoo canyon to have your lunch
with the driver. under a big ancient trees and you then enjoy swimming in the fresh water pool. The
car drive up the mountain to Dixsam plateau, Dinner and overnight in Dixsam plateau
Day: 5: Diksam – Sand – Omaq: the
highest mountain in Socotra
early in the morning you get up enjoy the
foggy weather and see Bedouin are collecting their sheep, goats and cows for
feeding them and milking, after the breakfast we transfer you to the start
point where you meet the local Bedouin guide who take you to Scand, trek along the Haggier
Mountains up to the highest
peak on the island which is called Scand, an area known for its very
rich and diverse flora & fauna. Here is some of the most breathtaking
scenery in the forest of drgon blood trees you
will have your picnic lunch and walking along the mountain to discover every
thing and if the weather is clear you are lucky, then you can see all the
mountains around you and the mountain you crossed with camels.after you go back
to the car .When you arrive to the car the driver will drive you through Dixsam
mountain down to Southern part of
Socotra to Omaq protected area ,Dinner
and overnight in Omaq protected area.
Day 6: Omaq – Qalansyia – Detwah lagoon –Hadibo
: Magical sunset over Qalanysia lagoon
Today we will drive to the
western part of the island where a little fishermen’s town of Qalansyia is located. It consists of
traditional Socotri houses, narrow alleyways and a long beach full of fishing boats ready to set
off for today’s catch or to take you to Shu’ab beach.
We will continue to
neighboring Detwah lagoon which is a marine protected area renowned for its
magic landscape. You will be charmed by a white sandy tongue surrounded by
turquoise waters of the bay. This surely is one of the best views on the
island. You can jump in the shallow sea there and enjoy the paradise. Only be
careful with sting rays that can be seen in the lagoon. There is also an array
of sea birds to be seen in the lagoon. Dinner and overnight in Detwah Campsite.
Day 7: Qalansiya –
Arher – Hadibo : the highest sand dunes
After breakfast we
drive you to Arher beach via Hadibo. Arher beach where you can see the
highest sand dunes on Socotra it is a magnificent view with a fresh water
streams goes from the mountain to the sea. You will have a chance to climb the
dunes which are around 200 meters high and having a bath in the hot water
spring. On your way back to Hadibo you
will Visit Socotra's
only folk museum. Dinner and overnight in Hadibo.
Day 8
:Hadibo - back home
Breakfast and drive to Socotra airport for your flight to the
mainland. .wish you a pleasant journey! Goodbye
